The thirty day challenge effect

It may be a coincidence, but likely not.

The Thirty Day Challenge, directed participants to set up tumblr blogs, using their search terms as part of the blog name. These miniblogs, were set up over the past 48 hours, Tumblr have since cancelled many of those accounts, as well as many long-standing blogs.

Where this leaves the thirty day challenge participants, is up in the air.

The mass experiment proved that gaining search ranking was not all about complicated seo, but some simple and straightforward thinking.

Web2.0 can bite back.
